Juniors range from Under 6 to Under 17's.juniors2

Players are able to participate in Mix teams until U13 where each gender are required to play in their respected teams.
Girls of U13 age are welcome to join our Girls 7's program in the Under 14, Under 16 and Under 18 teams.
Boys will continue to play 15 aside from Under 12's - Under 17's

Navigating your way around new websites, training fields on a Wednesday or Friday night, getting to know new parents of equally excited or bewildered players and knowing who to ask when you have a question are all part of the fun that goes with joining a club such as Logan City.
The first thing you should know is that the club is run by volunteers and your support is greatly appreciated.

Each team requires the following positions to be filled:

 Coach Smart Rugby compliant for all coaches, Blue Card and for U11 - U17 Coaching Level 1 
 Manager Attend an initial meeting at the Clubhouse, Smart rugby and Blue Card
 Touch Judge As per Brisbane Junior Rugby guidelines.
 Field Marshall           For home games only, training provided at Clubhouse at start of season

FAQ

How many players can take the field in each age?

Logan is committed to making sure players get maximum game time and adhere to the policies set by Brisbane Junior Rugby Union regarding minimum and maximum player numbers per age group. When a team surpasses the maximum team numbers set by BJRU the Junior president and Junior Registrar will determine the split team based on sibling alignments to other age groups, family/friends, when players have registered to play.

For minimum and maximum player numbers please refer to BJRU Competition Rules on page 15 under 7.2 (c) (2)

What happens if it rains?

Check the website or subscribe to the club Facebook page "Logan City Rugby Union" to receive updates on your phone. A decision is made before 6.45am on game days or 4.00pm of training nights.

What to wear?

Game day: Jerseys are supplied by the club and the team manager may organise a roster of parents to wash the team set each week. Turn up to the game in the Game Day Shirt , Logan Saints shorts and socks (which are provided to fully financial players through Struddys Loganholme) and moulded football boots, blades or sports shoes (joggers/runners). We encourage all players from U8 - U17 Wear mouth guards. Any additional playing gear ie head gear must be IRB approved. We encourage parents to get into the spirit of the game and purchase a club polo to wear. Training nights players can wear the above outfit as well or last year's Tshirt.

How can I help?

The club relies heavily on parents to fill a range of volunteer roles during the course of the year including the roles mentioned above.

Referees for U10 to U18 are supplied by Queensland Rugby Referees Association - If you or your child aged U13 or older would like to be involved in refereeing please contact the Junior President.

Is there players Insurance?

The club employs appropriately trained sports medicine staff to attend all home games. Their advice is to be taken by game officials (referees, coaches, managers and parents) regarding injuries to players and the ability of the player to continue playing.

One sports medic will be engaged per full size field in operation.

Information regarding the insurance paid on your behalf from your registration fees can be found on the ARU Insurance website. 

Whilst the plan provides basic levels of cover for players and others participating in Rugby, it is not all encompassing (this is necessary to keep the cost of insurance affordable for players) and does not seek to replace the need for private health and other insurances.

The ARU encourages all players and officials to take out their own private health insurance, life insurance and ‘Top Up’ coverage over and above the coverage provided under this plan.
